Hello World!

Welcome to the prank month :) - Do you have any good prank stories from today?

I actually have one today, except it wasn’t a prank.

It was raining cats and dogs all day long and then by some weird miracle the sun came out in full blast late afternoon. So I decided to go on a walk. I’m walking smelling the scent of psuedo grass from the fresh rain, staring at the bright blue skies and discussing my favorite topics AI and Web3, when suddenly 10 feet away and 5 feet below my face I hear this tiny bark….

The bark gets louder and the sound gap keeps becoming smaller. My brain has still not switched from AI. I see this tiny a** dog running towards me from nowhere and barking (what I believe as) “ferociously”. For those who don’t know me I’m terrified of dogs except a handful (shoutout to Rusty, Rocket, Prudence, Moose and late Silas) and I don’t know why!

I want to run at the speed of a light, except I’ve been taught since I was a kid that I am not supposed to run if an animal comes after me, but show the animal that I’m higher up on the food chain! (eyeroll). My brain has still not fully switched over from Sam Altman, although instincts have partially kicked in and I’m at the half walk half stumble half run stage. And wishing I had the superpower to fly….

At this point I am facing the 1 foot tall dog barking with the ego the size of a dinosaur and I am speed walking backward with the hope that the dog will stop. Life moves into slowmo during times like these. The owner of the dog is here by now, but she is a big healthy lady and lacks the agility and swiftness of her 5 pound dog. She keeps asking her dog to stop and come back to her! But she’s speaking in English and the dog is speaking Woof Woof. In my head I’m going - “Lady save the chit chat for later - RUNNN after your dog and get it before it gets me - WT*“.

I am still walking backwards and then as I backed again I bumped into a tree. No more space to back up. Thankfully by then the owner had caught up with her dog and picked it up. Phew….. No scratches :). Took a while for my heart rate to come down. As an observer this would be quite the hilarious scene, but I was an actor!

Now we can check off these 2 animals off the list - attacked by a moose and attacked by a dog. The moose story is very old for another day :)

Anyways that’s what I got today! I’m going to try and focus on some book illustrations for this month. Today’s story could be a great comic strip imo!
