The Art and The Artist
When magic takes over the brush...
Some creations just happen - no planning, no overthinking - just pure flow.
That’s exactly how #GoddessKali came to life.
I’d never painted Kali before, but this piece felt destined. Because let’s be honest - any story about #Vivekananda or #RamakrishnaParamahamsa is INCOMPLETE without the Divine Mother herself.
This piece was created for the Human Vivekananda theatre performance presented by SETU.
What started as a teeny tiny spark, turned into a full-blown midnight marathon of color, chaos, and devotion. Since I dilly dallied about whether I should really make this AND challenged the Universe the whole way through (SMH), I didn’t have too much time to document every step. But I did manage to capture a few moments that carry the spirit of the process.
Inspirations for this piece:

Few process shots only since I was quite literally burning the midnight oil.

Below are a couple of videos as well.

There’s still so much more I want to share. But perhaps that happens when the reading gets converted into a full blown performance :)

Until next time….

Awesome painting. Kali is the embodiment of karmic energy and draws us to our inner self. 🙏
